Welcome to our November Round Up. As always, we look to cover some of the smaller feature updates that have stood out to us over the last two months that may have been generally missed generally. A small disclaimer, however, that this wrap-up is smaller than usual and that’s mainly because most of the focus over the last 6-8 weeks has been ignite, which is all soon to come.
Enjoy the read and let us know if you have any comments.
SharePoint Private News/Page Drafts
Microsoft are soon (albeit running late...) providing us with the ability to create and save news/pages in private draft mode, allowing us to share that draft with people specifically. A common question within theIntranet space is how a marketing team member can write content without releasing it publicly until approved, so this is a perfect solution.
Microsoft Teams Search Experience
One of the best parts to SharePoint in Microsoft 365 is the search. Enterprise search is, in all honesty, phenomenal. There are elements that could be better, like the filtering etc, but in general it’s extremely powerful for any organisation.
SharePoint Expandable Sections – Finally!
During a training session this week, as always seems to be the case, I finally opened a client tenant and saw the section collapse functionality.
This is a huge step in the right direction from Microsoft for SharePoint intranets – very slick, very useful, very professional... 10/10 Microsoft.
Microsoft Teams Reactions
Whilst not an overly functional one, sometimes it’s nice to have some fun. And, in all honesty, who doesn’t want the ability to send a unicorn as a reaction.
