Military to Microsoft – Our path

The team behind Power 365 Solutions met in the Royal Air Force and have worked alongside each other for 10 years. Since each of their transitions from the Armed Forces to the corporate world of Microsoft, Tom, Dan and Carl have been able to transfer key leadership, operations, and communications skills as well as continuing to develop their passion for all products within the Microsoft stack.

Evolving from a military to an industry career has brought about a plethora of new opportunities and an equal level of challenges. From having to network into new professional circles, adapting skillsets to a less timetabled routine, to forming a business that has completed 37 projects and gained 21 clients within 12 months, Tom, Dan and Carls careers have grown exponentially.

Such a significant change in career has meant that the lessons they've learned have been able to build the foundations of what lies at the core of Power 365 Solutions. The first is to control your own narrative, risks are necessary to grow and comfort should not be what determines your career - it’s also the enemy of success! In order to progress, one must recognise the value of their experience’s; if you are willing to learn and you have a strong work ethic, you will succeed. And finally, you don’t have to take the straight path. Tom, Dan and Carl will be the first to tell you that starting a company in the middle of a global pandemic has been one of the larger risks they've taken in their careers. However, the entire ecosystem of how society works is also altering... in the eyes of P365 it’s changing for the better.

With the pandemic catalysing the need for flexible working, the days of a regular 9-5 are changing sooner than anticipated and with automation, the 5-day working week is falling quickly behind that too. Customers and clients can now have access to an entire workspace from their pocket and the automation of daily tasks quickly reduces the need to continuously be at a desk. We want to create sophisticated, unique products that are simple and easy to digest. Through utilising the strength and adaptive nature of the Microsoft stack to help enhance the diverse needs of its clients, Power 365 Solutions will retain a low code, out of the box format for an easy transition.
